Daiquiri and Buddy are 15 years old and have Cushings, Buddy also has a grade 5 heart murmur. Due to their age and health they will be forever fosters and live with their foster family for the rest of their life. We would love to have a sponsor for them as their daily medication is expensive.
Yorkie Luv Rescue is committed to finding loving, happy homes for every dog in our rescue. From time to time a dog is considered unadoptable for a variety of reasons such as permanent medical conditions, emotional issues and even age. Sometimes this is apparent before we rescue, other times it is not. These dogs still deserve a loving home and good quality of life. In the Forever Ours program we provide ongoing medical care while they spend the remainder of their life with their foster family.
Our little Stanley came to us from the county shelter was almost hairless and his skin looked like elephant skin they say he is 12+ years old. He is doing great now in his foster home. He is gaining much needed weight and his hair is growing back. Due to his condition and age he will be a Forever Ours.
Thank you Rita Ortiz for being his sponsor
Dooney is an adorable little guy who somehow ended up at a county shelter. He is 10+ years old he has neurological issues and has a hard time controlling his front legs, He has a grade 5 heart mummer and a perineal and rotten teeth. He will need to do an ultra sound before he can have any surgeries. Due to his health and age he will become a forever ours and live the rest of his life in his loving foster home.
Roxy is an adorable little girl who is around 2-3 years old. We saved her from the County Shelter where she ended up as a stray. Roxy is very feral and I don’t think she has really been touched by a human. We will be working with her to teach her to trust and love. In the mean time we will slowly get all the knots off of her. She will be ready for adoption once she learns that not all humans are bad.
THANK YOU SHARON IRELAND FOR BEING TODD’S SPONSOR
Todd ended up at the county shelter as a stray. He was guessed to be 12 years old and only had 2 teeth (his upper K-9’s) and they were very infected. He ended up having oral nasal fistula (holes from his rotten K-9’s all the way to his sinuses) He also had a open sore on his leg that was so infected he had Mrsa. He also has sever collapsed trachea. We could tell that he was abused his whole life so we made him a Forever Loved Dog so he could stay with his Loving foster family for the rest of his life. We recently did an X-ray for Todd because he was having a hard time breathing. His heart is enlarged and pushing on his trachea making it hard to breath. He will need an Ultra sound ASAP so we can evaluate his heart.
