Are you in the market for a 9 pound lap dog? If so, 4 year old (originally estimated to be 7 by the Humane Society, but our vet says that she’s younger) Aria may be the dog that you are looking for. Aria is a sweet terrier blend who does shed, but is not a heavy shedder. She’s timid initially, but it won’t take long before she’s in your lap, and she seems to do well going places. She has been fine with the dogs and cats in her foster home, and enjoys playing with a few of the dogs. She would also do fine as an only pet where she is the center of attention. Even though she loves being in your lap, she also loves to be active and has a moderate level of energy. She’s a perfect combination of ready to be active and ready to relax on the couch.
She has not been around kids, but we suspect that she would be fine with older (10 plus, but depends on the kids), respectful, kids. She is nervous when people reach out to her, especially over her head, but she’s shown no aggression towards anyone since being with her foster. She’s improving a lot, but much prefers coming to you instead.
Aria is house broken, crate trained, spayed, microchipped, and current on vaccinations.
